I have been in this karate club since 2002, and I have enjoyed it so much that I would recomend it to all people out there. What I like about this club is the fact that there is no age limit so there is many people. Everyone there is so kind and loving, the teacher always says that we are one big family. Sure we have to work hard, but it will make you fit and healthy.
I think that the gradings are very different and help a lot because you practise karate in a place where one day you might just need it. Some people may think its is a fun day out but really it is hard and your stamina would definetly increase.
It is much much better than spening friday watching tv or playing games. Even when your tired and it is cold I feel I want to go because I know I will feel a lot better. When I go home I know going to karate was well worth it!
There are two Teachers Sensei Hardy and Sensei Lockwood, both are very nice and are encouraging. Seeing them makes me want to become a black belt even more. I think the best bit of the lesson is sparring (called kumite) because we have to fight each other, and that prepares you for the outside world. So that is why I think the club is great!

I've only just started karate and already I am much more confident than before. In my opinion the heart of the lesson is sparring, the bit where you learn what it feels like to be out there, fighting and defending yourself. I think Sensei Lockwood and Sensei Hardy are great! They encourage you in every step of every move. I recommend anyone to join!

I have been in this karate club for 2 years. During those 2 years I have enjoyed and learnt loads to kick, punch and how to end a fight in seconds. The thing I like the most is sparring because it prepares us for the outside world.
The members of our karate club are encouraging. For example if you forget something in Japanese. They will just tell you the answer and keep reminding until you know it. And the best thing is we're one big happy family.
The 2 teachers Sensei Hardy and Sensei Lockwood are the most kind, loving, full of praise, funny and are very encouraging. They're not in it for the money, they want us to stay safe, and that's why I will take my hat off to them any day, any time. They always think of all of us as an equal, and that we're all clever in are own way. Yeah they might keep saying punch harder or kick harder they're only saying that so you never become a victim and they will keep saying it so we stay safe.

I have been doing karate for one and a half years, and I really enjoy it.
Seeing Sensei Hardy and Lockwood makes me want to be a black belt like them. They are nice, funny and make karate fun but serious. They show me how to be alert and aware of the dangers around me, and to only use my karate skill when needed. Also to make sure no one pushes me around at school because it is not nice.

I have been at this karate club for nearly 3 years now and I feel much more strong and fit than before. When I started I felt excited nervous. I think the senseis are really tough and they teach everybody brilliantly. I'm so happy that I've got a red belt! I want to be like them.

I have been in the karate cub for nearly a year, and so look forward to Fridays! I am committed to attending every week and strive to reach higher goals. Karate is a fun sport, and helps me keep fit. Since joining the club, it has built up my confidence and the instructors have encouraged me to become more self-aware, they are teaching me to be streetwise, to be able to defend myself if ever I become a victim.
I enjoy learning the moves, especially Sparring, Jodon and Maegeri. Sensei Hardy and Sensei Lockwood are excellent instructors, maintaining good class discipline and always encouraging students to work to their best ability. Karate has also helped me build up my self-esteem and the strict discipline in class has assisted me with improving my concentration with my schoolwork.
Karate is something that I would like to continue as I grow up and appreciate this is something that will help me to develop into a more self aware and confident person, assisting me in life generally.
Karate is a sport that anyone can learn and I encourage all to join this great club.

I have been coming to the club with my pappa from when I was 4 years old. In the beginning I got very tired and it was hard. Now I really enjoy it and look forward to Fridays. I like sparring the best because it builds up my confidence.
The best thing was when I did the grading and I got a big trophy from sensei Lockwood. That made me really happy. It was brilliant. My mum was very surprised. When I am big I want to be a black belt and teach other little children to be good fighters like sensei Lockwood and Hardeep.

Karate I have been doing for 2 years now, lots of friends I have made, and graded I have every time. Fine although my belts are muddled up my certificates are a bit. Running up for his third dan Sensei Lockwood is, second Dan Sensei Hardy is. Confused I'm a bit about what grade I am. Given I've been a blue belt but supposed to be im not sure if I am. My sensei's these are:
The club I wouldn't have found if it wasn't for my good friend Harbir Sira. Green belt he is now a and 8 years old he's only. In every lesson our sensei says never become a victim, and go home with your real parents, discipline us always.

Hi! I am Devina. My best thing in karate is self defence. I like self defence because you get to learn different techniques to use if you were attacked on the street. I have been doing karate for one and a half years. Since I have started, I think I have become more fit and strong. I think I am more aware about what is around me.
The sensei's let higher grade students take a bit of the class for practise. The sensei's teach you great warm ups to do at home. I enjoy the class because the sensei's are humorous occasionally. The sensei's make you train hard but are super cool!
It is also a fantastic way to make friends. I have friends that go to other karate clubs but I know they don't learn as much or have as much fun as I do!

My name is Satya, I am 8 years old. I joined karate 8 months ago. Before I had no confidence but now I do have confidence. I think karate is good because I get strong and don't feel lazy. I am looking forward to go karate every Friday. Sensei Hardeep and Sensei Lockwood always helps other people when people are stuck. Karate is good because it makes me powerful.

I have been attending Hardy's-Karate Club for nearly 2 years. As a young karate enthusiast I feel that the Senseis has helped me during some of the difficult moments within my family life. Hardy stepped in to help me through this period which my family remain thankful. The rewards are high and the work involved in training has probably helped me control my own emotions.
My parents have been very supportive, however, it is my own initiative and willingness to learn, adapt and respect to my Sensei has made me a better kid. These are moments I shall treasure forever in my heart.
